Instead of quarterly newsletters, Club members now receive a monthly e-mail with Club news and info on folk events locally. From January the e-mails will be loaded onto this page.
CLUB NEWS (December)
As we approach the festive season, I would just like to remind people that there is no Balerno folk night this December. However here is a reminder about the Club Burns Night in 2018.
Burns Night – Tuesday 30 January 2018
This is one of our most popular nights with a high demand for seats. Once again we are lucky to have Ken McDonald hosting it. Tickets for members only (£7 each) are available from John Stirling on 0131 449 3456 or by e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org
The following events might, however, be of interest.
Celtic Connections – Glasgow
The opening concert for the 25th Anniversary of this festival will be in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on 18 January and will feature a medley from Ian McCalman’s epic stage presentation – “Far Far from Ypres”. There will be some familiar faces in the line up including Carole and Alan Prior and members of “Ragged Glory” and Sangsters.
