Every year, on the last Tuesday in January, the Club celebrates the birthday of Robert Burns with an evening of entertainment featuring Burns’ songs and poems, professionally hosted by Ken McDonald, seen here in the photo.
This year was no exception with Ken putting together a great programme for the evening focusing on an aspect of Burns’ life and times. All this was presented with a variety of songs and tunes and recitations from members and invited guests. No Burns’ Night would be complete without a taste of haggis, neeps and tatties and this was served during the evening. As usual we had a good crowd and the whole evening was very enjoyable and featured some little-heard songs of Burns.
